Open Call: I Want To Draw Your Story

Open call for Outer Shapes listeners: I want to draw your story!
Background: I'm Laura, singer/basist/visual artist for our band. Earlier this year, I started drawing/animating mini-comics telling the stories behind our songs. So many of you loved them and reached out with stories of your own. It changed my life to hear how our songs helped you guys.
My hope is to expand these comics to tell your stories, too. To share an experience with the world is to empower yourself and find connection.
What I'm looking for is true stories from your life and the Outer Shapes song you relate to it. Details and specific scenes are helpful. No story is too big or small, old or recent.
Some song themes/starting points are as follows. Song: Freeway; Themes: lost/troubled relationships,family. Song: Your Place; Themes: loneliness, asking for help, life changes. Song: I'm Not Home & Ghost At Your Funeral; Themes: leaving loved ones behind, grief. Song: Dust & Fast Forever; Themes: depression, mental health episode, addiction. Song: No Bugs & Spoonfed; Themes: changing who you are to make others happy (or not). (Yours doesn't have to fit in these areas)
Interested? Submit via the google form Comic Stories in our bio. Stories can be anonymous or I can tag you in the final product. Check out the comics highlight on our Instagram for examples. I'll pick based on what calls to me. No garuntees. Accepting on a rolling basis.
